The talented Richard Bussink followed me three days to film the process of making a worker jacket the slow way, from start to finish, from cutting to constructing.
Somewhere between a shirt and a jacket you’ll find the worker jacket. It is unconstructed and it features many hand sewn details such as hand placed patch pockets and hand pick stitching. Of course the buttonholes are hand sewn. The more casual version can be made from a selvedge denim but you can also scale up to a tweed or a flannel that can have lined sleeves. I have never heard of custom jeans. I bet they are expensive.
What type of gimp do you use? Fantastic work

It has a servo motor.
I live close to the Mexico border. I always go *luxdups* , their quality is great. Some of them are made with leather and really hard to tell the difference from real or not. Either way, it’s your choice. No judgement from me

It's very coy under your sleeve there and I can't get a good look at it. Again, appreciate your videos and the work you do.

Wonderful video, I wanted to ask what type of tool are you using to make the button holes? and are you hitting it with a hammer?
I cut with a chisel before stitching.
